A small cosy bar with an eclectic mix of trinkets and paraphernalia for decoration, outside of Stoke’s Croft? Must be The Old Bookshop.

From a brass instrument chandelier to a wall-mounted moonshine mill, and a film projector with fairy lights to more taxidermy than you tend to expect in a pub, there’s certainly a lot of intrigue.

So much intrigue that I neglected to obtain an external photo, so here's the bar. We like bars.

You’d be hard pressed, in fact, to get further from the city’s hipster focal point while still being within walking distance of the harbour side. Old Bookshop sits on North St, that dividing line between the warring nations of Bedminster and Southville.
